I’m Emily, the founder of ClickOnRecipes. This whole project grew from something simple: I wanted an easy, welcoming place where real home cooks could find real recipes-nothing intimidating, nothing complicated. Just the kind of food that fills a kitchen with good smells and brings people in closer.
I’ve spent most of my adult life in and around food – sometimes cooking for work, sometimes cooking because it was the only part of the day that felt grounding. My earliest memories of the kitchen aren’t glamorous ones. They’re small, ordinary moments: standing near the counter while someone chopped vegetables, waiting for bread to come out of the oven, listening to family conversations spill over each other. Those everyday sounds shaped the way I cook and the way I share food today.
How ClickOnRecipes Began
ClickOnRecipes started as a place to collect the dishes I kept making over and over, the weeknight meals that actually worked, the desserts friends kept asking for, the little shortcuts that saved me on long days. I never planned for it to grow, but people began writing, trying the recipes, and sharing them with others.
Slowly, this small idea turned into something bigger – a community that loves good, uncomplicated food as much as I do.
My Cooking Style
I gravitate toward food that feels comforting and doable. Meals you can make after a long day without feeling drained, dishes that don’t punish you for swapping an ingredient, flavors that come together with just a few thoughtful steps.
I’m not chasing flawless meals. I’m chasing the feeling of “this tastes good, come sit down and try it.”
Why I Share My Recipes
I share recipes because I know what it’s like to stand in front of the fridge with zero ideas and even less energy. If something I create gives you a spark, a dinner idea, a shortcut, a bit of comfort, then I’ve done what I hoped to do.
