Ingredients
Main Ingredients
- 1 to 1.5 pounds fresh Brussels sprouts (Look for firm sprouts with tight leaves.)
- 10 to 14 slices bacon (Regular cut bacon works best.)
- 1 to 2 tablespoons olive oil (Optional, helps with browning.)
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt (Use less if bacon is salty.)
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- to taste garlic powder, smoked paprika, or brown sugar (Optional seasonings.)
- Skewers (Use metal or wooden soaked in water.)
Instructions
Preparation
- Preheat your grill to medium heat.
- Rinse Brussels sprouts and peel off any sad leaves. Trim the tough end slightly.
- Halve medium or large sprouts. Keep smaller ones whole.
- Toss sprouts with olive oil, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Cut bacon slices in half if they are long.
- Wrap each sprout with bacon, overlapping slightly.
- Thread the wrapped sprouts onto skewers.
Grilling
- Grill for about 12 to 18 minutes, turning every 3 to 4 minutes.
- Check for tenderness of sprouts and crispness of bacon.
- If bacon browns too fast, move to a cooler part of the grill.
Notes
Serve right off the grill for the best flavor. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in an oven for best results.
