Description

These easy baked tacos are filled with cheesy, savory chicken and crispy bacon, all drizzled with ranch flavor for a fun and customizable dinner option.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or chopped (Rotisserie chicken works great.)
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled (Turkey bacon is an option.)
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing (Can substitute with ranch seasoning mixed with sour cream and milk.)
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (Cheddar, mozzarella, or a blend can be used.)
  • 8 pieces tortillas or taco shells (Flour tortillas recommended.)

Optional Toppings

  • green onions, diced tomatoes, jalapenos, hot sauce (Customize according to preference.)

Instructions

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, combine cooked chicken, crumbled bacon, ranch dressing, and a handful of shredded cheese. Mix until creamy, not soupy.
  3. If tortillas crack when you fold them, warm them in the microwave under a damp paper towel for about 10-15 seconds.

Assembly and Baking

  1. Spoon filling into each tortilla, fold like a taco, and place on the baking sheet. Sprinkle with extra cheese on top if desired.
  2. Bake for 10-14 minutes until the tortillas are crisp and cheese is melted. Broil for 1 minute for extra color, watching closely.

Notes

For crispy tacos, avoid overcrowding the pan and consider lightly spraying tortillas with oil.
