Description
Soft and chewy Oreo cookies with big cookie chunks and optional white chocolate.
Ingredients
For the cookies
- 1 cup Unsalted butter, softened (This helps with that creamy, chewy texture.)
- 3/4 cup Brown sugar (For chewiness and a little caramel flavor.)
- 1/2 cup Granulated sugar (For crisp edges.)
- 1 large Egg (Room temperature is best.)
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
- 2 cups All purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon Baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt (Just enough to make the sweetness pop.)
- 12 cookies Oreos, roughly chopped plus some crushed (A mix of chunks and crumbs for texture.)
- 1/2 cup White chocolate chips (Optional but adds amazing flavor.)
Instructions
Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350 F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream the softened butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar until it looks fluffy and lighter in color.
- Mix in the egg and vanilla until smooth.
- Add flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix just until you do not see dry flour anymore.
- Fold in Oreo chunks, crushed Oreos, and white chocolate chips if using.
- Scoop dough into big tablespoons or medium cookie scoops and place them spaced out on the tray.
- Bake about 9 to 11 minutes. The centers should look a little underdone.
- Let them cool on the tray for 5 to 10 minutes before moving to a rack.
Notes
For best results, use softened butter, do not overmix, and enjoy with a glass of milk or vanilla ice cream.
