Description

Cheesy and customizable Pizza Roll Ups that are quick to make and perfect for busy nights or game day gatherings.


Ingredients

Dough

  • 1 pkg pizza dough or crescent roll dough or refrigerated dough sheets (Use any preferred type of dough.)

Sauce

  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce or marinara (A sauce you love will enhance the flavor.)

Cheese

  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese (Shredded for better melting.)
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese (Optional, for added flavor.)

Toppings

  • 1 cup various toppings like pepperoni, cooked sausage, diced ham, or veggies (Customize according to preference.)

Seasoning

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning (To taste.)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder (To taste.)
  • 1 pinch salt (To taste.)

Optional Brush

  • 2 Tbsp melted butter (Mix with garlic powder for brushing the tops.)


Instructions

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. On a lightly floured counter, roll out the dough into a rectangle.
  3. Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce on the rolled out dough, leaving about half an inch around the edges.

Assembly

  1. Sprinkle mozzarella and your choice of toppings evenly over the sauce.
  2. Roll the dough up into a log, then slice it into 1-inch pieces.
  3. Place the sliced roll ups cut side up on the prepared baking sheet.

Baking

  1. If desired, brush the tops with melted butter and a little garlic powder.
  2. Bake for 12 to 16 minutes, or until golden and bubbly.
  3. Allow to cool for 3 to 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

You can prepare these in advance and refrigerate them for up to 24 hours before baking. Experiment with different fillings and sauces.
