Description

A creamy, chocolatey, high-protein dessert using cottage cheese, perfect for satisfying sweet cravings without the guilt.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup Cottage cheese (full fat or low fat) (Use cold for best texture.)
  • 2 tablespoons Unsweetened cocoa powder (Regular or Dutch-process; adjust for taste.)
  • 2 tablespoons Sweetener (honey, maple syrup, or zero-calorie) (Adjust based on preference.)
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract (For added flavor.)
  • 1 pinch Salt (Enhances chocolate flavor.)
  • 1 tablespoon Milk (optional) (To help blend if cottage cheese is thick.)

Instructions

Preparation

  1. Add cottage cheese, cocoa powder, sweetener, vanilla, and a pinch of salt to a blender.
  2. Blend until completely smooth, scraping down the sides as necessary.
  3. If the mixture is thick, add a splash of milk and blend again.
  4. Taste and adjust sweetness or cocoa according to preference.
  5. Spoon the mousse into a bowl or jar, cover, and chill for at least 30 minutes.
  6. Serve with desired toppings.

Notes

Chilling improves texture and flavor. Optional toppings include fresh berries, granola, or chocolate chips. For variations, consider adding peanut butter, espresso, or mint extract.
