Ingredients
For the Fruit Salsa
- 2 cups Strawberries, diced small
- 1 cup Kiwi, peeled and diced
- 1 cup Mango or pineapple, diced
- 1 cup Apples, diced (Use crisp varieties)
- 1 cup Grapes or blueberries, chopped if large
- 1 tablespoon Lime or lemon juice (Add more to taste)
- 1 teaspoon Honey or maple syrup (Optional, adjust based on fruit sweetness)
- 2 tablespoons Fresh mint, chopped (Optional)
For the Cinnamon Sugar Pita Chips
- 4 pieces Pita bread
- 2 tablespoons Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon (Adjust for extra cinnamon flavor)
- 2 tablespoons Melted butter or coconut oil
Instructions
Prepare the Fruit Salsa
- Wash and dry your fruit thoroughly.
- Chop all fruits into small, even pieces.
- Add lime or lemon juice and honey or maple syrup if needed. Adjust sweetness to taste.
- Optionally, stir in chopped mint for added freshness.
- Combine gently, then chill for 15 to 30 minutes to enhance flavors.
Make the Cinnamon Sugar Pita Chips
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cut pitas into triangles and brush lightly with melted butter or coconut oil.
- Mix sugar and cinnamon together, then sprinkle over pitas.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, flipping once, until crispy.
Notes
Ensure fruit is well dried before chopping to prevent excess water. Pair chips with any leftover fruit salsa or enjoy with yogurt.
