Ingredients
Wet Ingredients
- 1 cup Unsalted butter, melted (Gives that classic blondie chew.)
- 1 cup Brown sugar (Adds moisture and caramel taste.)
- 2 large Eggs (Provides structure and richness.)
- 2 teaspoons Vanilla extract (Enhances dessert flavor.)
Dry Ingredients
- 1.5 cups All purpose flour (Keeps it simple and sturdy.)
- 1 teaspoon Baking powder (Provides lift.)
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt (Enhances sweetness.)
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon (Warm spice that complements apples.)
Add-Ins and Glaze
- 2 cups Apples, chopped (Peeled or unpeeled, small pieces for even baking.)
- 1/4 cup Maple syrup (For the glaze, use real maple syrup.)
- 1 cup Powdered sugar (For a smooth and thick glaze.)
Instructions
Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 pan with parchment paper or grease it well.
- Melt the butter and let cool slightly before mixing with brown sugar until glossy.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
- Stir in flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon until just combined.
- Fold in the chopped apples gently.
Baking
- Spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan and bake for 25 to 32 minutes or until edges are golden and center is set.
Glazing
- Whisk powdered sugar with maple syrup, adding more syrup until the desired consistency is achieved.
- Drizzle the glaze over the cooled blondies. Wait 10 to 15 minutes for the glaze to set before slicing.
Notes
For best results, do not overbake. Cool before glazing for cleaner slices. Small apple pieces help prevent wet pockets.
