Description

A quick and cozy lunch made with flaky croissants, juicy turkey, and a smear of cream cheese, topped with fresh lettuce, tomato, and a spoonful of cranberry sauce.

Ingredients

For the Sandwich

  • 2 pieces Croissants (Use fresh or day-old croissants for better filling retention.)
  • 6 ounces Sliced turkey breast (Pat dry if damp to prevent sogginess.)
  • 4 ounces Cream cheese (Spread a thin, even layer.)
  • 1 leaf Lettuce (Use any preferred type.)
  • 1 medium Tomato (Slice thinly to avoid overwhelming the croissant.)
  • 2 tablespoons Cranberry sauce (For sweetness, can be substituted with chutney or jam.)
  • to taste Salt (A little goes a long way.)
  • to taste Pepper

Instructions

Preparation

  1. Slice the croissants in half.
  2. Spread cream cheese on the bottom half of each croissant.
  3. Layer sliced turkey, lettuce, and tomato on top.
  4. Add a spoonful of cranberry sauce.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Place the top half of the croissant over the fillings and press gently.
  7. Cut into smaller pieces if desired and serve.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in the fridge wrapped tightly for up to two days. If reheating, do not microwave for too long to avoid a chewy texture. Adjusting ingredients or adding different spreads is encouraged for variations.
