Ingredients

- 1 tbsp Baking powder
- 2 tbsp Sugar
- 1 pinch Salt (Enhances chocolate flavor.)
- 3/4 cup Milk (Dairy or non-dairy options available.)
- 1 large Egg
- 2 tbsp Butter, melted (Or use oil instead.)
For Frying
- Oil Vegetable, canola, or sunflower oil (For frying.)
- 1 tbsp Cinnamon sugar (Optional for coating.)
Instructions
Preparation
- Spread Nutella on one slice of bread, leaving a small border.
- Top with another slice of bread and press the edges gently.
- Mix flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt in one bowl; in another bowl whisk milk, egg, and melted butter.
- Pour wet mixture into dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Chill the assembled sandwiches in the freezer for 10 minutes.
Cooking
- Heat enough oil in a small pot or deep pan.
- Dip the sandwich into the pancake batter, coating both sides.
- Fry until golden brown on both sides.
- Move fried sandwiches to a paper towel-lined plate to drain.
Serving
- Roll warm sandwiches in cinnamon sugar for extra sweetness.
- Serve immediately with toppings like strawberries or a drizzle of syrup.
