Description

Delicious chicken wraps featuring juicy chicken, fresh veggies, and a tangy Raising Cane’s copycat sauce, perfect for a quick lunch or dinner.

Ingredients

For the chicken

  • 1.5 pounds chicken tenders or thin sliced chicken breast (Chicken tenders are preferred for juiciness.)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt (Adjust according to taste.)
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon onion powder
  • pinch cayenne (Optional for heat.)

For the wraps

  • 4 large flour tortillas (Burrito size recommended.)
  • 2 cups shredded lettuce or chopped romaine (Fresh ingredients are key.)
  • 1 to 2 pieces tomatoes, diced (Adjust based on preference.)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or cheddar blend
  • pickles, sliced (Highly recommended for flavor.)

For the copycat sauce

  • 0.5 cup mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon paprika
  • pinch salt (To taste.)

Instructions

Preparation

  1. Toss the chicken with olive oil and all seasonings. For best flavor, allow it to marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  2. If time permits, chill in the fridge for 30 minutes.

Cooking Chicken

  1. Choose your cooking method: Sautéing, Grilling, or Baking.
  2. For sautéing, heat a skillet over medium high heat and cook chicken for 3 to 5 minutes per side until cooked through.
  3. For grilling, grill tenders for 3 to 4 minutes per side.
  4. For baking, preheat oven to 425°F and bake for 15 to 18 minutes, flipping halfway.

Assembling the Wrap

  1. Spread a spoonful of sauce on a tortilla first.
  2. Layer lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, cheese, and then sliced chicken.
  3. Add more sauce on top before folding the wrap tightly.
  4. Optionally, toast the wrap seam side down in a skillet for 1-2 minutes to warm it.

Making the Sauce

  1. Mix mayonnaise, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, black pepper, paprika, and salt until smooth.
  2. Let the sauce sit for 15 minutes or refrigerate for 1-2 hours to enhance flavors.

Notes

Wrap assembly can involve personal customization. Keep tortillas warm for the best results. Store chicken and sauce separately if preparing in advance.
