Description

A creamy and cheesy dip with a kick of spice, perfect for parties and gatherings. Easy to make, this dip can be served warm or cold alongside various dippers.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz Cream cheese (Softened (full fat is creamier, reduced fat can be used))
  • 2 pcs Jalapenos (Fresh for crunch, pickled for tang, or a mix)
  • 1 cup Shredded cheddar (Sharp cheddar brings the most flavor)
  • 1/2 cup Sour cream or Greek yogurt (For a softer, scoopable texture)
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder (For flavor enhancement)
  • 1 tsp Onion powder (For flavor enhancement)
  • to taste Salt (Adjust per preference)
  • to taste Black pepper (Adjust per preference)

Optional Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup Green onions (For garnish and fresh flavor)
  • 1/4 cup Cilantro (For garnish and fresh flavor)


Instructions

Preparation

  1. Let the cream cheese sit out for 30 to 45 minutes, or microwave it for about 10 seconds at a time until softened.
  2. Stir in sour cream (or Greek yogurt) until smooth.
  3. Mix in shredded cheddar, chopped jalapenos, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Taste the mixture and adjust salt and heat according to preference before baking.

Baking

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Spread the dip mixture into a small baking dish and top with extra cheddar if desired.
  3. Bake for about 15 to 20 minutes, or until hot and lightly bubbling around the edges.
  4. Optional: Broil for the last 1 to 2 minutes to get golden spots on top.

Notes

Serve with tortilla chips, kettle chips, crackers, toasted baguette slices, or veggies. This dip can be made ahead and baked before serving.
