Preparation
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until the mixture is slightly lumpy.
- Let the batter rest for 5 to 10 minutes while you heat your skillet.
Cooking
- Preheat a nonstick skillet or electric griddle over medium heat and add a little butter.
- Pour approximately 1/4 cup of batter per pancake onto the pan.
- Cook until bubbles form on the surface and edges look set, then flip and cook until golden brown.
