Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground meat (pork, turkey, chicken, or beef) (Choose based on preference)
  • 4 cups Cabbage (coleslaw mix or shredded cabbage) (Coleslaw mix includes carrots, adjust for stricter keto)
  • 2 medium Carrots (Optional, keep light for stricter keto)
  • 4 scallions Green onions (Chopped)
  • 3 cloves Garlic (Minced or crushed)
  • 1 tbsp Fresh ginger (Minced or grated)
  • 1/4 cup Soy sauce or coconut aminos (Use coconut aminos for gluten-free option)
  • 2 tbsp Sesame oil (Use a tiny drizzle at the end for flavor)
  • 1 tbsp Rice vinegar (Optional, adds brightness)
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Optional Toppings

  • to taste Sesame seeds

  • to taste Sriracha
  • to taste Mayo
  • 1 lime Lime (Juiced)


Instructions

Cooking Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add a small splash of oil if your meat is very lean.
  2. Add ground meat. Break it up and cook until browned. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
  3. Add garlic and ginger. Stir for about 30 seconds until fragrant but not burnt.
  4. Add cabbage or coleslaw mix. Toss and cook until it softens but still has a little bite, about 4 to 6 minutes.
  5. Pour in soy sauce or coconut aminos, plus a tiny splash of vinegar if using. Stir well.
  6. Turn off heat. Add sesame oil and green onions. Taste and adjust seasoning.
  7. Optional: Add chili flakes or sriracha for extra heat; drizzle sriracha or mayo on top for creaminess.

Notes

Store leftovers in airtight containers in the fridge for up to 4 days. Reheat in a skillet over medium heat for the best texture.
