Description

A refreshing and easy frozen treat made with ripe fruit, ice, and a splash of liquid. Perfect for hot days and quick to prepare!

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups frozen strawberries (Fresh works too, but you will need more ice.)
  • 1 cup pineapple chunks (Fresh or frozen.)
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup liquid (Options include coconut water, orange juice, or water.)
  • 1 to 1 1/2 cups ice (Start with 1 cup.)
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons lime juice (Optional but recommended.)
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons honey or agave (Optional for added sweetness.)

Instructions

Preparation

  1. Add liquid to the blender first.
  2. Add strawberries, pineapple, and lime juice.
  3. Blend until it starts to look smooth, then add ice a little at a time.
  4. Stop and scrape down the sides once if needed.
  5. Taste, and if it needs sweetness, add a little honey and blend again for 5 seconds.
  6. Pour right away into chilled glasses.

Notes

For optimal flavor, freeze your strawberries before blending. Chill the glasses beforehand to keep the slush from melting quickly. Adjust ice and liquid quantities based on your preferences.
