Ingredients

- 2 cups Peeled sliced apples
- 1 tablespoon Brown sugar (To sweeten the apples)
- 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon (For flavor)
- 1 tablespoon Water (To help cook the apples)
Instructions
Pancake Preparation
- In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, and apple pie spice.
- In another bowl, whisk buttermilk, egg, and melted butter.
- Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir gently. Stop when you still see a few flour streaks.
- Fold in grated or finely diced apple.
Cooking the Pancakes
- Heat a skillet on medium, grease lightly, and pour batter to desired size.
- Flip when bubbles form and edges look set; cook the other side until golden.
Making the Apple Topping
- In a small pan, melt butter, add peeled sliced apples.
- Mix in brown sugar, cinnamon, and splash of water. Cook for about 6 to 10 minutes until apples soften and sauce becomes glossy.
- Add more water if sauce becomes too thick.
Notes
